The days of the Ulsterbus RELLs may well be numbered now, but BXI2590 (2590), a February 1983 Bristol RELL6G with Alexander (Belfast) B52F body lives on. A sprightly 21 years old it retired from Newry and was sold for preservation to Toby Hart of York in January 2004. Not too many details available of the present owner, Matt Carroll of Cardiff.
A comment from Kelvin Amos that he could not work with steering like that all day convinced me that this was one new driving experience better left unsampled. As a passenger riding round route learning it felt marvelous.
