Warrington Corporation No. 92 (KED546F), a 1967 Leyland PSRC1/1 Panther Cub with East Lancs B41D bodywork. Best regarded as an open market equivalent to the nationalised (Tilling Group) sector Bristol RE the Cub is as its name implies a shorter lighter Leyland Panther. One of a batch of 4, HED653E and KED545F through KED547F, bought by Warrington Corporation this bus is a regular performer at rallies and running days in the care of Kelvin Amos and the Badgerline Enthusiasts Group.
About the same size as the modern Darts I drive at Bristol International Airport, but with the semi-automatic gear change I first mastered on the Mark1 Leyland National when training with Beeline. The combination makes KED546F a unique driving experience. Once patience to hold in neutral for a couple of seconds at every gear change is mastered the bus becomes a joy to drive and at nearly 40 years old performed faultlessly under full loads over the demanding two days.
